And I saw this adorable MS sleeping exactly like Volka (see above)! *melts. I have a soft spot for Minature Schnauzer these days. I’m intending to get another pet dog. My initial plan was another toy poodle but female (that was my really initail plan before getting Volka, the male). But the thing is I might sterilize all of them. Since I’m not intending to breed, is poodle my only choice? Hehe. This is bad. I shall take my time. Schnauzer, Yorkshike terrier or poodle?

Honestly speaking not all shops are selling cheap. I saw this hamhead selling at $7.90! Wth! I got my mushroom shelter for $2.90 at clementi and people are telling me it’s expensive cos Daiso is only selling at $2. So I said 90 cents to save travelling, fair enough isn’t it?

$7.90? Now, THIS is expensive. My take is don’t buy hamsters acc from 01-416, their food items are reasonable though.

Well, it’s a little late to blog about what happened on my birthday. In short, I was conned to Marina Barrage and over there he proposed. Maybe I should really touch on the details cos the whole thing still seemed like a joke that we can repeat for infinite amount of times and still be funny to laugh at cos there were simply too many tiny funny things that occurred before the con case (YES, totally a con case!).

That day (last Wednesday, 14 Apr 2010), Sam and I agreed to have a simple dinner. I wanted to get her to eat at Jurong Point but she suggested Waraku de Pasta so we had to go Marina Square. *sobs* there goes my west…

I was late for nearly half an hour meeting Sam. Then, seriously took my own sweet time to eat my half-half set meal. We even had the waiter mixing up our bills – there was this couple who paid and had a change of about $60+ inside. I must say we are damn honest to tell them that wasn’t our money and waited another 15 minutes for our bill to come.

Usually, a simple dinner = finished eating, go home. So I asked Sam if she was going home after dinner. And hell, the conversation went,

S: I want to go Marina Barrage leh.
J: Why!? Like nothing there, only water and erm buildings…? (really dying to go home cos I was really tired from work that day)
S: But I read online and saw the pictures like so nice lor, I want to take some pictures there.
J: Ar…? Okay lor. (I was seriously thinking maybe she was preparing for some reference for her portfolio! SEE, I DAMN GOOD AND KIND HEARTED!)
S: We can take cab, I pay! (totally fishy, I’m usually the one who take cab, not her)

So we went to the taxi stand and guess what!? None of the taxi drivers know where is Marina Barrage even after telling them to exact road name found in street directory. TMD. I could see Sam feeling a bit unhappy or disappointed (whatever it was alright? She is one of the con ladies!) so being such a good friend, I told her we can just take train and bus cos I know the way already (googled from iPhone).

So on the way there, I was really grumpy cos the road signs ain’t clear, couldn’t see the bus stop and then too many ah-nehneh (sorry but no offense cos all of them look like tikopek to me that night). Marina Barrage was so dark and cold filled with mosquito and I totally heck care and just anyhow walked up the bridge already. Even took a couple of pictures with my phone until I saw this over the other side of the bridge:

I even told Sam quite loudly,

“不懂哪一个白痴要在这里求婚lor！”

Soon after, I turned around and couldn’t find Sam! AHHHH! Instant panic mode seriously. And suddenly, I saw this little dog charging towards me. First word – F***! And that dog looked really familiar! I was confused for about 2 seconds and then DAMN, that was my Volka indeed!

I really thought I would be stuck at home watching TW drama with nobody to go out with since everyone is on internship, bf was on night shift this whole week and Sam is leaving for Australia soon. But the whole birthday ended indeed in a blast, in an unexpected way thanks to:

5x Con Ladies (J.A.C.E.S)
1x Con Doggy (Volka)

I love them all!

All in all, I’m really thankful to the girls for helping Mr Gan with this proposal planning, I know he WILL NEVER think of such thing like Marina Barrage, lightsticks, etc. I’m a worm in his stomach! But still, I’m surprised that he actually initiated and asked my friends for help, really thank you, BF! You really caught me in surprise this time round. ^^

1. Peizhi ran out of her lab with her safety boots and ran back to change again cos she was too anxious over the whole proposal thing.

2. Amanda nearly OT-ed, so excited over the thing that her mind was totally blowing her up with “My friend’s bf is going to propose to her tonight!” and she ran away from lab.

3. Sam was signing away whenever her phone rang (it was Jorcelyn they all, telling her to come quickly or take her time to bring me, etc) and she told me it was from a friend who she was supposed to meet on the following day who kept changing time wanting it to be earlier and then changed her mind shortly. I told her, “Aiyah, this kind of friend, don’t meet lar. Tell them you not free.” LOL!

OMG, I made a really long post, thinking of what to post and I was watching TV mid way and dragged 3 hours on this, oops. This should make up for not blogging often. Good night!

The period is here. It’s just a natural occuring phenomenon for me. A period whereby I will indulged myself with animes and dramas. Currently, it’s on 败犬女王 – Me thinks that the guy lead (阮經天) is quite cute.

Just on yesterday, I just had to go buy shampoo for Volka cos I really cannot stand not bathing him for 2 weeks straight – had no choice.

While on that, I had my choice of shampoo, the smallest one since I’m buying All-system’s super cleaning from teacher but I will only get it next week so bobian. After a series of deep thoughts so I got the milk, deworming pill, revolution along with the standby shampoo. Got the shock of my life when I saw this bottle of All-System’s Super Cleaning (est. around the bottle of our 500mL kind of soft drinks) costs around $55+! Thank God, I’m buying from teacher!

Unfortunately, I bought my revolution from there. Some anti-flea and ticks stuff for dogs which costs me $56. I just went to this website and they are selling at $45.50! Feel so cheated!

And today, after nearly over a week of not visiting Volka, I had a shock cos his food is running low and bf didn’t mention. So we went to get his standby food. Again, as usual, no shop sells Orijen. So there was this shop tender who has been quite kind to me for the past 4 visits I had with them told me to try Acana who is of the same manufacturer as Orijen.

After reading on reviews and the comparing ingredients online with Orijen (yea, I did all that on my iPhone when bf was looking for other stuff in the shops and the guy was busy with him). So afterall, Acana was quite a good brand too. People who had problem with Orijen having too much proteins causing hard stool for their furkids all switched to Acana cos it’s milder on the proteins.

Oh well, we have zero choice since I really don’t wish to go back to Science Diet anymore (find it a bit too salty, yes, I behave like a dog, I smelled all of Volka’s food, just left never eat only) and others on the shelves are all those kuku brands with corns and fillers, etc. I bought the 2.5kg pack of Acana Puppy Small Breed for Volka, costs around $36+. Considered quite cheap compared to where bf got the current small pack of Science Diet which costs $40+. Siao, never am I gonna buy these from shops. I’m going online!

Total damage over the weekends was over $100, thanks to Volka.

BB, you better behave or I will kick you. Mommy is damn tired cos you kept running today at the park. *dozing off as I’m writing this* He’s one happy dog playing in lala-land right now.

Bf is going Australia to work this June to Aug. This is how boliao I am. And bf probably thinks I’m stupid so he hasn’t reply me at all.

Watched the Nodame Cantabile Movie finally after 1 whole month of dragging. Thank God it was still showing though due to limited slots in cinemas. As expected, it was a good laugh though many parts were removed (usual thing for movie since time is limited). If you watched the anime, you would probably love it.

However, I’m disappointed with Chiaki (Hiroshi Tamaki)! I can’t stand his face, why is he SO SKINNY!? It was so damn annoying to me. However, I’m swooning over the Oboe guy – Kuroki (Seiji Fukushi)! Totally mesmerizing with his typical Japanese’s single eye lid and boyish look.

I shall blog about this when I’m free, zzz-monster attacking me again.

She treats everyone better than herself. Her first words are always, “Have you eaten your meal?” and even when she’s ill, she’s still her. At 7pm every evening, she will ask us to go watch the sitcom at the tv room. Every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, she will ask if anyone strikes 4D or not. That’s how adorable she is.

Sometimes while my cousins and I were gossiping about the attire of doctors or nurses at SGH, she would wake up and ask us what we were discussing about. If not, during her sleep, she would be talking in her dreams, thinking she’s home and cooking a feast for everyone, and asking us to come eat the dinner. She has really been positive and determined to live on. However, as cruel as life can get, sometimes things just don’t go the way we wished for.

As I’m typing these, her life is draining off. I gues I have seen through it, leaving is better than suffering in pain. It hurts us but I believe she is in much more pain than anyone of us.

I will miss her, miss her naggings, miss watching her play on teris, miss her stir-fried egg plant, fried fish (during old times where Huiyin and I get 1 side reserved specially for us) and 卤肉. Probably everything that is the best of her.

If so, why didn’t the doctors pre-warn us? Why did the doctor say it’s mainly cos of long term stay and that bacteria and germs causes the deterioration? Why didn’t the doctors tell us the side effects of the antibiotics causes the collaspe of her lungs?

Did the doctors just simply keep details from us cos we lack the medical knowledge to understand?

I’m upset to the max.
